Client: Barratt American Homes

A challenge was presented to provide Landscape Architectural services for a dense multi-family condominium project in the City of Murrieta.

The client, Barratt American, had a vision of creating an atmosphere different from that of other multi-family developments in the area. The 27-acre site sat up above two major streets, which allowed for a dramatic entry drive, garden walls and patterned slope planting. The internal components of the site consisted of mini parks, themed street trees and a centrally located pool and recreational facility. The pool concept was to provide the residents with an “oasis” or a “resort” atmosphere.

A large lagoon style pool anchored the recreational area with undulating plantings, spas, overheads and deck lounging areas complimenting the recreational facility. The idea is that residents come home to a unique place, a “resort” unlike traditional multi-family developments.
